During this session, you will learn about the innovative programs Indianapolis police are using to better serve and support citizens who are living with mental illness and addiction. As the largest police department in Indiana, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) currently uses a variety of trainings and co-response teams to prepare its officers to respond to these runs. You will learn specifically about the CIT program, the MCAT/BHU teams and additional programs in development.
