Alcohol addiction is a persistent clinical and public health problem of epidemic proportions, but is often "forgotten" as other crises spike and capture public attention. This presentation will review the problem of alcohol use disorder and its treatment, provide some clinical case illustrations, summarize features of the changing landscape during the Covid-19 pandemic, and suggest next steps for moving the field forward.
