Recovery Coach of the Year

I am nominating Robert Schutt as Peer Recovery Coach of the Year for his continue dedication and commitment to serve the community. Since accepting the role as Peer Recovery Coach Specialist at Recovery Café, Rob has been an exceptional leader. He is the lead peer for the Regional Recovery Hub. Through this work he has started Satellite circles in and around Marion County. Rob provides one on one support to those in need and does an amazing job ensuring individuals are connected and feel supported on their journey of recovery. He is a member the Professional Blend Outreach team with her Horizon House where he connects with our most vulnerable and overlooked population to provide recovery support and resources. Rob host weekly Peer to Peer meetings while working full-time still at Recovery Café leading four recovery Circles a week.Rob is a go getter and leader in the community, always taking initiative and being an advocate for those who may not have the power to use their voice. Despite some of his home personal health challenges and challenges faced through his involvement with the criminal justice system, Rob has never allowed these things to dictate his future and his passion for recovery. Rob not only holds the credentials but possesses the character, heart, passion, commitment, and drive that makes him a phenomenal well rounded recovery coach. His ability to connect and reach our community is unmatched. It’s rare that you fine someone like Rob and we are honored to nominate him as the peer recovery coach of the year.
