The School-based Mental and Behavioral Health breakout will focus defining the state of the field in mental and behavioral health in schools (i.e., statistics, issues relevant)), how schools are well positioned to proactively and successfully address related issues, as well as mechanisms in place (federal, state, school-based guidelines and practices) as well as lessons learned from successful community-based initiatives (e.g., agencies, programs inclusive of the HANDS model) designed to support and program for success in these efforts.
