Ms. Phillips-Steele oversees all of CSH’s training, lending, technical assistance, and systems change work throughout Indiana. She is responsible for setting the direction and annual goals for the Indiana Program, and fundraising to cover the Program’s local costs. She also directly provides training, technical support, and advisement to numerous supportive housing providers and public funding agencies. Lori works closely with IHCDA and other agencies and non-profit partners to implement the Indiana Permanent Supportive Housing Initiative as well as maintain partnerships with staff at Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. Most recently she has been focused on supportive housing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, youth aging out of the foster care system and families in the child welfare system. Previously she provided support to the Indiana Balance of State Continuum of Care Board and the state’s implementation of Coordinated Assessment. Prior to joining CSH, Ms. Phillips-Steele served first as Director of Training and Development, then as Program Director at the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention. She has also held several positions at the Indiana State Department of Health, including Director of the HIV/STD Division, and has worked for the Family and Social Services Administration.
